CARPET BEELTLE / CLOTHES MOTH

Carpet beetles and clothes moths are fabric pests, which can inhabit our homes. They feed on things like clothing, decorative objects, rugs and carpets that are made from materials of natural origin, which includes;

  • Wool

  • Animal fur

  • Cotton

  • Felt

  • Silk

How to control?

To control these fabric pests the infested areas need to be identified. Common areas of infestation are under heavy furniture, behind curtains and around perimeters of rooms. Once the infested areas are identified, liquid insecticide treatments can be carried to eliminate the infestation. Space sprays may also be applied to flush out pests from hard to access areas.
